according to the solar calendar, the first day of the year is called”元旦(yuán dàn)”.

In Spoken Chinese, people usually say:几月几号（hào），for example, 5月3号，8月5号,等等。

Lunar Calendar/阴历（yīn lì）/农历（nóng lì）:
